What is a production sound mixer?

The person on set who captures all the dialogue and ambient audio. They wire talent with microphones, operate the boom, and record everything to a multi-track recorder so post-production has clean, usable tracks.

NY NJ Sound serves the New York City metro area (all five boroughs), all of New Jersey, and the Philadelphia region. Most locations within a 50-mile radius of northern NJ have no travel charge.

Does NY NJ Sound offer event PA systems?

Yes. In addition to location sound mixing for productions, NY NJ Sound provides fully-operated PA systems and live event sound for indoor and outdoor events, corporate functions and hybrid webcasts.

I've recorded and mixed sound for ABC World News, 60 Minutes, NFL Films, Saturday Night Live, and dozens of other broadcast productions. I was part of a team that won an Emmy® Award for Outstanding Live Sound Mixing on ABC News' Nightline.
